Attractive alternative to tupperware for kitchen storage?

We have too much stuff in our kitchen! DH loves to cook though, so the zillions of obscure spices etc do get used.

I want to make better use of a shelf to get some of the stuff under control.

It's fairly high - just above DH's eye level (he's tall).

I need some kind of boxes up there to keep all the stuff under control.

Tupperware would be a practical solution, as you can see in it, basically! It could fit something like 8 large boxes in a row, perhaps.

But as it's the first thing you see when you walk in the kitchen, it'd be nice if they looked attractive.

Is there some kind of nice looking transparent storage? Is there such a thing as pretty Tupperware?!

The shelves are slats, so I can't put loads of jars up there or anything like that.

Try Muji for transparent storage boxes.

Also, we use Pyrex dishes with lids a lot. They come in lots of shapes and sizes. We use them to cook/bake in, then you can pop on the lid to go in freeze/freezer, but I could see them working in your context too.
