Would someone please critique my task list for the cleaner?

I've been having a cleaner come in every week for the last couple of months. She is reliable but I can't always tell what she's done so I thougth maybe if I put a list together of all the tasks I would like her to do then she can tick them off. Does this sound reasonable?

She alternates 3 hours one week and 5 hours the next. I have split the tasks into rooms and frequency. So some tasks are weekly, fortninghtly, 4 weekly and 8 weekly.

Nice list.

Personally for usability I would like it split into weekly, fortnightly etc etc and then per room as I would find it difficult to follow as it is. But that may be personal preference.

Doesn't look too much to me. You are paying for 8 hrs a fortnight which is a lot. I have a similar sized house (unless your rooms are massive) and I have a cleaner 3 hrs a fortnight and she manages a lot of what is on your list (by no means everything but she can do lot more than I could do in that time).

Couple of thoughts. What about cleaning light switches and plug points? And do you really only want your bedroom hoovered once a fortnight?

What about changing sheets?

Quite a thorough list but if the cleaner is doing 3-5 hrs per week then they should be able to tick off the majority of them. You may find the first weeks maybe slow going through the list as the cleaner does the first deep but once clean the following weeks they should be able to pick up the pace as the bits are generally already clean.

Looks like pretty standard jobs to me. If you're having to write this down though and effectively micro manage the her, then I'd question whether she's actually any good at her job. I mean, if she isn't doing all this anyway, what the heck is she doing?
