Best thing to remove sticky

I used a stick on Velcro to make a covering over a small window (on the window frame). It's now left a really thick sticky residue like the white parcel tape. Any ideas how to remove it without scratching the surface?

Sticky Stuff Remover - about £4 per bottle. Lakeland do it - as do many other places. Pop it into google. Works wonderfully.

Roll blutak over it.

Smother in peanut butter and leave for a couple of days then just scrape it off. Sounds mad but it does actually work.

WD40 is good for removing sticky residue, baby wipes also sometimes too.

WD40 works very well. I bought some of that sticky stuff remover from Lakeland but wd40 basically does the same job at a fraction of the cost.

Thanks all. I've already tried baby wipes so I'll give some of the others a go!
