How to remove sticky residue on a bath?

I put some non slip bath stickers in the bath and now there's loads of sticky residue, I've tried washing up liquid and vinegar (not at the same time!) so far, any other suggestions please? :)

Try some baby oil or olive oil. Sometimes, oil cuts through the sticky stuff.

Bicarbonate of Soda and white wine vinegar, put the bicarb on first then add the vinegar it will fizz leave for a few seconds then wipe.

Try nail varnish remover or white spirit, but check it won't damage the surface, first.

Bicarb and vinegar fizz because one is alkali and the other acid - they actually cancel each other out. I think oil is probably the best bet.

Be very careful with nail polish remover - that stuff is a bastard, only safe on ceramic or good enamel really. Don't touch plastic with it, or you'll likely be looking for a new bath.

Try (food) oil or vaseline (proper, not hand care stuff) since the soap/acids haven't worked.

WD 40 to loosen then a mild scourer like bicarb to remove the residue?
