Can I just ask what temps you wash the following at?

Towels
Bedding
Bath mats
Clothes (inc baby clothes)

towels and bedding at 60, occasional 90, esp if someone is " no well"

bathmats...60, but sometimes 40, if they have a rubbery backing or it perishes

Clothes...depends on fabric and filth quotient....30/40/60 as required.

Ifailed · 29/11/2018 09:59

all at 40 degrees, washing detergents are anti-bacterial agents. If there was something particularly yucky, then It would go in a 90 degree wash.

Interesting. I wash at 40 usually, 60 for bedding, but have just put fabric backed bath mats in at 90 because they're minging.

Towels, bedding, tea towels and cleaning cloths at 60.

Clothes at 40.

Bath mats have a rubber backing so they are also at 40.

Oddsocksandmeatballs · 29/11/2018 11:53

Everything at 40° except for my work uniform which has to be washed at 60° (although I am never sure how they would know if I washed it at 20° or 100° in reality).

Matilda1981 · 29/11/2018 11:54

Towels and bedding 60
Clothes usually 40 but sometimes 20 if something just needs a quick freshen up.
