Books! So many books! And trying to de-clutter

OldSpeclkledHen · 15/11/2018 10:38

What to do with books?

I've read them all, but in good condition.

But equally trying to de-clutter...

Don't want to landfill as seems so sad, but I hear charity shops not taking them anymore?

Advice please 😊xxx Thank You!

Charity shops round us still take books, have you checked?

If they really don’t then I suppose car boots, or put them on your local Facebook?

Phone your charity shops or pop in.

Freecycle

Free ‘libraries’ at stations

If they are in good condition try music magpie or ziffit they will buy them i was a bit stuck as to what to do too and friend suggested. You just enter the barcode on the book and the site will tell you if they can accept

Can you find an Oxfam Book store that you can donate to? Do you have a local Little Free Library? Or see if local hospitals/day centres take donations of reading material - mine does.

A colleague brought a huge box of books into work once, it was a good day. You could take them into work or ask someone else to take them into their work.

In the US there seems to be a trend of leaving them outside your house for passers by which is a lovely idea

Ahhh Thank You!

Some good ideas! I have been in contact with local charity shop, they'll take them.... (and also my other de-clutter stuff 👍🏻) but also the local hospital has a book stall so will donate there too!!

Phew! Would be so sad to dump them 😳
