is it possible todoicing without using an icing bag??

thats it basically?? Is it possible to do with sandwich bags or baking parchment??? Not for anything intricate just towrite happy birthday on a cake.

I have used parchment before, just folded into a triangle (but a few times so was a bit stiff)
worked ok

I saw Gordon Ramsay do it with a sheet of greaseproof paper - I think it was GR

can make an icing bag with a twist of greaseproof paper, just curl it round on itself into a cone, then snip the very end off.

I have used a sandwich bag with the corner cut off in an emergency, but it may split if you squeeze too hard!

why don't you get one of those tubes of icing? They're quite tasty and very easy to write with.

pd, I did think about it but I have icing and food colouring just thought I would have a go.
