I was given one of these as a wedding present. 15 years on I have just found it at the back of a cupboard! Blush The oil has a use-by-date of ten years ago. I don't want to use it with oil that smells bad, so do I:
a) buy some new oil and try it out (any recommendations for which one?)
b) try the old oil
c) sell it

Bear in mind that I don't normally use air fresheners as I don't like artificial smells but if someone tells me it's actually really nice I might give it a go -now have a teenager in the house so it does sometimes get a bit smelly!

Try smelling the fragrance...it's not oil based, it's alcohol based so shouldn't be bad.

I used to work in a shop selling LB, and they are great...the smells are really clean (without any 'clagginess' like candles) and it fills the room really quickly. I have a few dotted around that I bought when I worked there. They have really lovely fragrances, something for everyone really.
There's one called Luxurious Venice which smells a bit like Coco by Chanel..lovely woody and spicy sent which is perfect this time of the year. It's my all time favourite.

The others I really liked are (and I'll categorise them into families because I'm a geek!)

(Woody/Spicy/Heady)
Mystery Patchouli
Amber powder
Winterwood
Vanilla gourmet
All of these are beautiful in winter

(Fresh/zesty)
Zest of verbena - cleanest and loveliest smell ever
Fresh Mint at the riad - lovely in summer
Gardens on the riviera- summery

(Fruity)
Under the fig tree - one of my favourites!
Sweet Pear - nice in autumn

(Floral)
Paris chic- really perfumey and elegant

LB kills germs in the air (allegedly) and was invented to purify air in French hospitals. They have a eucalyptus one which really helps you breathe if you have a stuffed up nose/cold.

The fragrances are expensive so I really recommend getting to a store where you can smell them in real life as it's awful to be stuck with something you don't like after spending the money.
