Can anyone suggest a cordless suction only hoover (Berber carpet)

Hi all,

We are having a wool Berber carpet put on our stairs. (DH choice! J wanted polypropylene!)

Anyway, I need a small cordless hoover for the stairs and have read that I need to get a suction-only one (no rotating brush , or any brush ?). Don’t want the carpet getting fuzzy ....!

I’ve been looking on amazon and I have no idea what I’m looking at! I also am very sleep deprived and pregnant and have a cold.... independent thought isn’t really working for me right now !

Can anyone please suggest specific hoovers ?

I have a Vax one and the brush bar can easily be turned off. Or even taken out - not sure if that's any use?

Thank you ! Our current hoover has a brush bar and it comes out. I thought that was just to clean the jar off the brush, didn’t realise the hoover would work without it ! Silly me cotton wool brain. You may have just saved me some money !!!
