Hi, so I think I want to hire a cleaner. How much can a expect to be paying and how many hours a week should I be looking at? I have a small 2 bed cottage. And i basically just hate cleaning.

What can I expect them to do also?

Rates depend on where you are based, I think?
We are in Yorkshire. Our lady does a flat fee of £30 for our 3 bed 1 bath house every other week: thorough clean of bathroom and kitchen including mopping and floors, then dust, polish and vacuum through rest of the house. Add ons include ironing/inside window cleaning for extra but we havent asked her to do either of these for us yet. She brings her own products and uses our mop and vacuum cleaner. We tidy before she comes round.
Good luck with finding someone

I should say it takes between 2 - 2.5 hours (she is quick but thorough).

Southeast here. Pay £12 per hour. 3 bed house. Cleans top to bottom, although will sometimes substitute doing one room for cleaning the fridge, paintwork etc if I ask.

I love my cleaner - she is never allowed to leave me 🙏😂
