Morning Jas

Morning to eveyone

Glasss and Aufish hope your DC get better soon.

Tort Have a good day today, It sounds like it is going to be great fun!

Gibberish I would LURVE a utility room! I'd be excited too!

Simply Did you actually get the ironing done?

Yadd you do make me .... have a good weekend.

Well I have no plans today...just housework and some baking maybe. I'm waiting to hear from a friend, she was taken into hospital on Wednesday. She is 28 weeks pregnant and has Pre-eclampsia The baby isn't doing so well, and the placenta has also stopped working properly. They gave the baby steroids on Friday to develop the lungs properly, and they are going to take the baby out some time today. I have my fingers doubly crossed for her....its so awful It is her first baby and she is beginning to panick a bit. 28 weeks is just so early.

Anyway....better crack on, see you all in a bit.

SimplySparkling · 16/06/2007 08:22

gibberish · 16/06/2007 08:26

Morning luda. How about your friend. You must be every worried. Are you near enough to visit?

No plans here either. Thanks to FLYing, I have practically NOTHING to do housework wise today !! Cannot remember the last time I didnt have piles and piles of stuff to do.

Got a few bills to pay though and going to go shopping for floor tiles and wallpaper etc for the utility room and bathroom. Weather absolutely VILE so not much else to do. Got weekly shop to do either today or tomorrow. Will see how the day goes.

Have a lovely weekend and try not to worry too much.

gibberish · 16/06/2007 08:28

I meant you must be very worried. Duh. Note to self -

PREVIEW YOU NUMPTY!

Jas · 16/06/2007 08:38

28 weeks is very scary. I hope your friend gets the best outcome possible, luda.

I will be changing the beds as soon as dp gets out of ours today, but not much else in the way of FLYing.

We have decided on a trip to the local farm today, despite the rain. We have season tickets, and there are a few indoor bits to do, so it will entertain the children for free If it isn't too cold, they will still play outside.

Free is good Jas

Blowing a gale and lashing rain here, so no day out for us Girls playing up in their room.

But lousy weather can be used to your advantage - just completed my tax return! So that's another thing I can forget about for a while.

Lazylou · 16/06/2007 09:46

Morning all!

Got a very busy day planned today! Been working so hard that my poor house has been somewhat neglected so I'm going to tackle everywhere, with a view to leaving the ironing until tomorrow night (once I have done my coursework!)

First load of washing is in and the hallway is looking pretty respectable too.

My main jobs of the day are:

*Change beds and wash sheets (I hate this job and have been putting it off for long enough!)

*Organise some space for all the clothes I need to iron tomorrow

*Wash up (another most hated job!)

*Wash floor

DD has had an allergic reaction to something and has come up in massive lumps all over her body, so she is grumpy and itchy so the amount I get done will depend on her mood throughout the day. We went to the hospital yesterday with her, thinking it was something more sinister, but its just a reaction although nobody knows what to.

Luda hope your friend is ok. 28 weeks is early but hopefully everything will be ok.

The weather here is pretty awful too, so I don't know how I'm going to get it all dry. My Mum bought a gazeba the other day ("I don't know why your dad wants one?") and when I explained that she could put it up over her washing line and still dry outside even when its raining, her face lit up so I might have to drag the washing to hers and stick it under there!

Have a good day all!

ludaloo · 16/06/2007 10:46

Hello, thanks for the kind messages She is too far to visit really, she does have all her family around her though. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed all goes well.

I haven't done much in the house...we got side tracked by the guinea pigs. They are out in a run in the garden. It has finally stopped raining here. It has been awful Really heavy rain for the last week! The hutch is soaked! I have had to change all the bedding and sawdust.

The house is looking a bit of a mess, so I had better go tidy.

All these poorly LO's! lazylou hope your DD gets better soon too.
gibberish You have been Flying really well! It is nice when there isn't much to do.
Jas have a good day at the farm

Hmmmm....all 3 kids are currently lolling on the run and the poor guinea pigs are huddled in a corner!! I had better move them all away otherwise the poor little things are going to have heart attacks!

akaJamiesMum · 16/06/2007 10:49

To do list:

Shine sink (daily ritual now)
Sort out all clothes - this is a biggie and may become a 27 fling boogie (or 57 even).
Wash kitchen floor following DS foray into the sugar bowl yesterday - floor is sticky!

bedhed · 16/06/2007 10:50

Morning all,

Wow, had a lay in until 9am with baby, unheard of since he was a newborn (6.5 mo now).

for your friend luda. Really hope both will be ok.

Off to see a friend tommorrow, so today will be my housework day:

  • wash work clothes (rain not helping this)
  • iron work clothes (yuck)
  • sort out receipt pile from yesterday
  • wipe around DS bedroom
  • hoover living room
  • do some studying.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Flame - where are you?

ludaloo · 16/06/2007 11:25

Well the house won't clean itself...so I'll see you all in a bit xx

GlassSlipper · 16/06/2007 11:37

morning all. not much doing but hope your friend and her baby are ok luda

Aufish · 16/06/2007 11:40

Good morning ALL DS is a little better today but is trying to pull a fast one, but I'm keeping an eye on him.

My to do list:

Get other half to put the filter back in the washing machine properly without it leaking
Tidy master bedroom
Wash up and dry up
Fix toilet seat
do a couple of loads of washing

The weather is still miserable here so the kids are all bored. Girls are in the conservatory and the boys are in the front room with me watching Kerrang! I need to go and get the other half up.

Luda my nephew's son was born at 26 weeks and he is now 8 months old and is doing wonderfully, a real little live wire, I wish your friend all the very best. My waters went at 26 weeks as well with my DS who is poorly at the moment, and I remember how terrified I was, luckily for me he was eventually born at 41 weeks, but after another 4 trips to the hospital with the waters gone! I used to say he got bored in there.

bewilderbeast · 16/06/2007 13:23

Hi all

today I have mostly being laying plastic sheeting in DS's rom to stop the carpet getting soaked as my roof is leaking.

To do

supermarket shopping
site compost bin and begin to fill
clean clean clean
avoid temptation to sit in corner and sob

ludaloo · 16/06/2007 14:49

Hello...

I haven't actually done very much of my TO DO list at all!!! I got sidetracked into doing some gardening. My next door neighbour has been out doing hers and she keeps handing me plants and things so I had to find somewhere to put them. Her son has cut me some half round discs from some huge logs they have, as a border to my flower beds

BB oh dear...that sounds a nightmare!

Aufish I feel a bit more optomistic after hearing that

Well can't sit here eating custard creams for any longer...I do actually have a list to be doing

ludaloo · 16/06/2007 16:05

Well I have:

~Hoover done
~Make a lasagna for supper (fingers crossed the minced beef is ok this time!) done (mince was fine )
~Tidy living room done
~Tidy Kitchen
~Put 3 loads of washing away
~I MAY EVEN IRON!!!!

Still no word from my friend....I'm hoping all is going well

purpleturtle · 16/06/2007 16:08

We've been out since just before 9 this morning. The house could look a bit tidier, but it's not too bad, and we're going again at about 6.30, so I'm chilling for a bit.

I do love the fact that the basic FLY routine is designed to give me a relaxed weekend.

bewilderbeast · 16/06/2007 16:20

shopping done, DP and DS asleep in a heap on the sofa.

ludaloo · 16/06/2007 16:50

She has had a little baby girl

Weighs just under 2lb and so far she and mum are doing fine

gibberish · 16/06/2007 17:37

Aw that is excellent luda Huge congratulations to the family.

Been out shopping - looking at floor tiles and laminate flooring. Chosen the ones I like so need to measure up now. Decided to replace all the doors in the house too - have always hated the internal doors, ugly glass ones with big leaves patterns

dh took us all out to pizza hut for dinner (yay no washing up!) then we went and bought a new laptop for the business.

Tidied out the bookcase in the dining room just cos I have nothing else to do.. got a little bit of ironing so might crack on with it. Can't believe I have so little to do! It's unheard of.

SimplySparkling · 16/06/2007 21:51

bewilderbeast Sorry to hear that you've problems with the roof. Will it cost much and take long to fix?

luda Good news so far, then! 2lb ish isn't a full term weight or anything but if she has been delivered safely then that's a great start and the hospital staff are used to caring for low weight premature babies, I'm sure. Keep us posted, won't you?

I've got a new book. I ordered it in using the library ordering service which costs 50p. Get Control of Your Life in 7 Weeks. Time management for manic mums by Allison Mitchell. Published by Hay House UK Ltd. Week 1 What's in your egg timer: sand or gold dust? Week 2 Where did all my time go and please can I have it back? Week 3 How much time do you want? Week 4 Become the mistress of your own time. Week 5 Time management for the masses. Week 6 Put off procrastination. Week 7 Human doing to human being. It's written in a light hearted way and is similar in tone to FLY lady (says she who has looked at the FLY site less than 10 times in total!) I'll let you know how I get on with reading it and putting it into practice.

I had a bargain (I think) in Boots today. The factor 25 moisturiser type thingy I use each morning was reduced from about £6 or so to £3. And it was 3 for 2. I bought them for my sisters and I think I'll point them in the direction of www's boot camp thread. I don't post on it much but I do hear the thread calling "Step away from that cupboard" when I approach the biccie / sweetie / choc cupboard, so it does work. And I put hand and body cream on more regularly as a result. And drink more water.

Done:-
~ food shopping
~ library to collect book
~ ring friend re school fete
~ ds' band performance
~ dh's footie match

To do list:-
~ write e-mail to cousin
~ ironing - the rest of the pile
~ carry junk back to spare bedroom, sorting out as much as poss
~ e-mail friends and family
~ order christening gift once info rec'd
~ hoover throughout 4 rooms done
~ feed neighbour's cat this am, pm done and evening
~ get dh to give me contact details for cottage owner this pm so I can send the towel back

Nos da pawb. See you all tomorrow!

gibberish · 16/06/2007 21:56

Book sounds good SS.

Was bored so finished the ironing whilst trying to hide being over-emotional at little girl singing on the telly - didnt work, dd1 kindly pointed out to the whole household that I was blubbing so they all spent the next ten minutes staring at me and smirking

SimplySparkling · 16/06/2007 22:11

Had to smile at your post gibberish. I can relate to you watching the girl on the tv, though I didn't see the programme you're referring to. Was it the song or the girl herself who set you off?

Btw, shall I parcel up my ironing to send to you seeing as you've finished yours?

EHM · 16/06/2007 22:15
