Help!!! How to get milky smell out of a carpet

Please help...

I've tried everything I can think of to get the smell of milk out of my DS bedroom. He dropped some milk a couple of weeks back and since then, the smell of stale milk greets me every time I go into his room.

I've used febreeze, zoflora, the wet vac, and many other lotions and potions!

I'm sure someone out there will have an answer for me....I'm so close to ripping the carpet up and buying a new one!

I found that repeated use of 1001 spray eventually does the trick - you really have to use it pretty much every day for a bit though! I doubled up with the powder shampoo stuff when hoovering.

I'm having to use my own tip this evening - DD vomited milk over the carpet (not envy...)
