Trying to do a big clean!

PumpkinPie2016 · 22/10/2018 10:09

After a particularly busy few weeks my house currently looks like a tornado has swept through it Blush

Thankfully I am off this week and DS is at school so I am planning a big clean!

Since dropping DS off this morning I have managed to clean the hall and downstairs toilet.

Think I will tackle the lounge next!

I'm posting on here so that I can put down what I have done (I won't do anything otherwise!).

Feel free to post along if you are doing/planning a big clean! Grin

I try this whenever I'm off work! It's exhausting! Good luck

Going to jump in here Grin

House is a complete state and so far only managed to put a load of washing on!

But I want to do a deep clean and tidy this week!

Let's get cracking

I will join if that's ok. I'm not able to do much in the way of big jobs this week as it's half term so I have 4yo DS1 and 8mo DS2 all week. However I've just finished reading an inspirational book about decluttering and am determined to start doing better right away. What I am proud of so far today is that when I had a porridge explosion in the microwave I didn't just wipe the spillage, I wiped down the whole microwave. That is the kind of habit I want to get into. I'm planning to declutter one kitchen drawer today and clean one thing, not sure what.

I started (and have almost completed) the organised mum method bootcamp. Our house is starting to look good and the better it looks the more motivating it is. Sunce last thursdat I did a deep clean of bathrooms and entryway. Dh did same for bedrooms and most if the kitchen.
Weve decided a list of daily tasks and are doing them. Airing and making beds. Cleaning loos. Swipe of bathroom. 1 load dishwasher and put away. Tidy before bed.
Its the second morning now that we have come down to a pristine living area. Its sooo nice.
Yesterday the hallway paperwork and work/living space junk and papers have nearly overwhelmed me. Its still not done. But large part of the way there now.
Plus i can see once its all done it will all be nice. Finally!!!
Im glad hes been helping me because i would have run out if steam by now if not.

Nice to see a few of us doing big cleans!

I have absolutely blitzed the lounge today - pulled out all furniture and cleaned behind it, all books off bookshelf and cleaned etc. It's looking nice Smile

I'm going to look at the organised mum method for keeping on top of things after half term.

Tomorrow I am planning to do DS bedroom and upstairs bathrooms.
