How to best use tumble dryer

Say I have a bundle of clothes I wish to tumble dry. Half are quite dry and half are quite damp. Should I bung them all in together or dry the two halves separately?

I do them separately. They dry quicker in a smaller load, and no point in the 'dryer' clothes going round for longer than they need to.

I'd put them in together - within a short space of time the moisture will equalise between the two lots and it won't make much difference how long you need the dryer on for.

I do everything in smaller bundles anyway. So two goes. One quite short. Never have them rattling around longer than necessary.

OK two to one on the separate bundles. That's what I thought, thanks
