Grout turning orange!!!

My new shower cubicle has the signs of grout turning orange. We squeegee (me mostly when I say we) and I scrubbed it with a toothbrush today but haven’t gone in with bleach yet. What bathroom cleaner is best to try and stop this ? It’s looking shabby already and only 4 months old. Eek!

It's limescale. KilRock is the best (super chemically) thing for it.

It’s not that bad currently but do I need to blast it then somehow keep on top of it?

There are two other things that make grout orange: iron deposits from the water, or there is a bacteria that grows and looks orange or pink and is really hard to eradicate. I think that you’re supposed to use a toothbrush and bleach to scrub everything.

Flash bleach spray every couple of weeks will keep on top of it. I hate using chemicals generally but bleach is really the only thing that sorts it out.

Certain shampoos do this. I don't have it currently but for mould stains harpic toilet bleach does the trick!

There is a product called Kilrock Mildew and Mould Remover that is a squeezy bottle of gel stuff with a built-in brush, they sell it in John Lewis.
It's pretty good at shifting the pink mouldy stuff and less messy than the spray-on liquid versions.
I don't like finding myself being the sort of person who recommends cleaning products, but I live in a state of war with our bathroom tile grouting.
My newly-installed kitchen is a tile-free zone as I loathe scrubbing grouting out with a toothbrush!

Usually an eco warriors? But the orange growth got me suing bicarbonate sand bleach. Got a 500gbag from amazon, made up a paste and left it on overnight . Worked 100%.

I have this too, it's mostly from soap/shower gel but some bits definitely look mouldy. HG mould spray from Lakeland/Amazon works wonders on it.

Time to be scrubbing then!
