Mission

OP posts:
shouldbe · 14/06/2007 08:06

Morning Jas Thanks for the mission.

My bathroom is pretty clean and tidy so I'll skip that part of the mission but will count the dungeon as my utility room and spend a quick 15mins in there later.
I also need to~
~last few items ironed for holiday
~finish packing
~find lost library book
~pack and post a parcel
~have 2 friends home for an hour after school
~sort out birthday supper for df this eve

That's it See you all later x

akaJamiesMum · 14/06/2007 08:21

My bathroom is definitely NOT clean and tidy so that's my mission. Also:

washing up
shining sink
clearing kitchen surfaces
some five minute "hot spot" clearing.

Jas · 14/06/2007 08:35

I did my whole bathroom on Tuuesday, and so far all the missions have already been done[smug]

The rest of the house is not good though

I will come back after schol run and do two 15 min bursts of something before toddler group. My parents will be here later, so I need this room to be good enough to at least walk through without tripping over stuff!

Hi to all. Thanks for the thread Jas.

No work for me today so I hope to do lots around the house instead. It is raining here which is a shame as I thought to take the dog with me when I'm whiling away time waiting for the car to be serviced. I might do it anyway. 2 birds with one stone and all that.

My to do list:-
~ write e-mail to cousin in good time for b/d
~ ironing - lots!
~ carry junk back to spare bedroom, sorting out as much as poss
~ feed a neighbour's cat
~ e-mail friends and family
~ order christening gift once info rec'd
~ take car to garage for service
~ post baby gift
~ hoover throughout
~ take something out of freezer for tea

GlassSlipper · 14/06/2007 08:39

me to, me too, jas. [smug emoticon] although i cleaned the bathroom mirror this morning as it was a bit mucky since the other day.

I'm doing well today. Have done the d/w, w/m, and a swish & swipe. We're all breakfasted and off out in a bit.

If you are wanting something to do today then DRINK WATER, WORK OUT WHAT IS FOR DINNER and CLEAN BATH TOYS

Welcome to all new people.....We are nice here, I promise .

Flame - you'd better come back

GlassSlipper · 14/06/2007 09:16

SimplySparkling · 14/06/2007 09:20

Flame Come back! I'd love to see you here on this thread.

Just stopping for a cup of coffee btw. Have put a load on. Brought the bin back and for 2 neighbours. Done some recycling. Tidied up here and there. Cup finished. Off I go again!

SimplySparkling · 14/06/2007 09:22

Ah but Glasss if the mouse is alive you get 5 brownie points for rescuing it! Look under the sofa cushions and you might find a monetary (or lego) prize!

Aufish · 14/06/2007 09:24

yaddayah · 14/06/2007 10:13

Morning all !

flame if you're around I promise not to chuck things at you !

Is the mouse still on the loose ?
My cat does that as well (though generally at 3am in the morning you hear her tearing round and the poor mouce squeaking

Well in honour of the fly thread last night instead of my glass of red i drank a litre of water.. ashamed to admit I felt better for it as well

Have done my 15 mins:
d/w
s/s kitchen
cleaned 1 loo

Am sitting here having a peppermint tea and feeling slightly virtuous

Jackaroo · 14/06/2007 10:57

Hello there, Yaddayah persuaded me to post a bit, and I just wanted to say that since first posting my question on here a couple of days ago, I've already got lots of little things done. Sum of the parts though is that I came downstairs to 3 pretty tidy rooms

I know I'm just in the honeymoon period, but I'm so chuffed.

So, Hi Yaddayah, and see you all soon (when parents leave and I have pc to myself again!)

Jack

yaddayah · 14/06/2007 11:43

purpleturtle · 14/06/2007 13:06

Oh I'm not doing very well today, at all.
Woke up tired, which is always a bad start. Think it may be PMT. Grrrr.

So, have left all houseworky stuff to dh so far. There are no fires burning, as such, but today's load of washing is still in the machine.

However, to redeem myself a little. I have
~ ordered chocolates for SIL as thank you for putting us up a couple of weeks ago
~ sent same SIL a new home card
~ returned rented DVD
~ done bits of shopping
~ bought birthday present for aforementioned SIL
~ bought 2 Fathers day cards
~ eaten lunch, but now need to clear up
~ dealt with 2 dirty nappes so far, probably another to do

OK. Today's targets:
~ tidy away lunch things
~ sort out that wet washing
~ look at the bathroom - shouldn't need much
~ sort out a bag of 9-12mth clothes dumped in the 'dungeon' (aka ds2's room )
~ help at school book fair
~ go to friend's after school

SimplySparkling · 14/06/2007 13:33

purpleturtle I'm tired today, too. Why don't we do the essentials and rest a bit when we can? Oh, and get an early night. I'm not doing well with that, but dh is away and I'm out of my routine.

Done:-
~ feed a neighbour's cat
~ post baby gift
~ sort out what we'll have for tea
~ several loads of washing
~ walk the dog for an hour or more
~ take the car to the garage for a service

To do list:-
~ write e-mail to cousin
~ ironing - lots!
~ carry junk back to spare bedroom, sorting out as much as poss
~ e-mail friends and family
~ order christening gift once info rec'd
~ hoover throughout
~ feed neighbour's cat this pm and evening

tortoise · 14/06/2007 13:34

Where's Luda today? Have I missed her?

tortoise · 14/06/2007 13:55

You must be really excited shouldbe
Looking at prices i really don't know if we will be able to afford it. I have to be sure i can afford it before telling the holiay funding people a price and applying just in case they don't pay out. Have to book or we would miss out. its so expensive during the summer hols.
But i will keep looking.

ludaloo · 14/06/2007 13:57

Hello

I have done minimal Flying but I have 2 guinea pigs

2 females called Minnie and Martha. Minnie is a black roisetta (think they are called that...longish hair which grows in mad directions) with a brown nose.
Martha is a white roisetta. They are just babies so very small and cute!

DD1 is truly obsessed and keeps wanting to hold them and feed them. They are a bit shy and will take a while to settle I think.

I must catch up on the house now though, it is all covered with hay and wood shavings!!

ludaloo · 14/06/2007 14:01

Hi shouldbe I have been out getting guinea pigs and sorting their cage out etc. DD1 had the morning off school to come and choose them...she went back at lunch.

Not long to go till you are away!! Well done you with all your packing

tortoise · 14/06/2007 14:02

Awww Luda. they sound so cute. Lots of handling early is the best thing to do. Just watch out they do tend to wee on you.

ludaloo · 14/06/2007 14:12

So far they haven't been held for very long...they are very timid. Martha is friendlier than Minnie, but they scat around all over the place when you try and get them out!!

GlassSlipper · 14/06/2007 14:15

Rather you than me luda. eeeewwww. I hate vermin as pets
