Eggsplotion in built in microwave

I know I know I know, you shouldn’t cook eggs in the microwave. But I did.

I have a built in microwave so it has the little holes in the grate at the top and the egg has gotten stuck in all those holes. 🙈

Does anyone have any tips of how to get it out? I’ve tried scrubbing, cocktail sticks, washing up liquid in a cup heated up. Nothing is working. I need to be able to get it out of the holes.

Jug of hot water in microwave and put on high for a couple of minutes. The steam should loosen the egg. You could put some lemon quarters in the jug if you want it to smell nice.
