Brabantia bin lid broken

Has anyone replaced the catch on their brabantia bin lid? Ours has broken but a new lid is £25!! The catch on its own is £3, but not sure if it's a genuine product....

Yes - we bought new lids last year. Yes they are pricey but well worth doing.

Phone them. They might send you a new one

We brought the new catch and it worked fine. A year or so later some other irreplaceable part of the lid broke though so we needed a new one.

To be fair my 2yo and 3yo BEAT that thing, so I think it gets an abnormal amount of abuse.

egdehsdrawkcab I did this very thing earlier this year....purchased the compatible catches off amazon and it worked a treat.

Pretty sure i was sent a new bin lid for free. Think i did an online form. Didnt need a receipt.

I got 2 catches for £2.70 off ebay back in 2013. The 1st one is still going strong. Sadly, the seller i bought from is no longer registered or I'd let you know who it was.

I wrote to Brabantia twice and each time replaced the whole bin lid for free! I love my Brabantia!

We got one free from Brabantia

Email Brabantia- they sent me 2 replacement washing lines when my rotary line malfunctioned.

Brabantia do a lifetime guarantee I believe. I contacted them last year as our 10 year old bin lid catch had snapped, they sent a whole new lid free of charge. Excellent customer service.

They sent us a new lid, no questions asked. I found a form somewhere on the website which I used to request it

I feel robbed! The catch on my bin lid broke last year and was beyond repair even with a replacement catch.
Brabantia said that as it was over 8 years old, they couldn't help me. But they could offer me a new lid for £37!! I found one online for £25. Still love my bin though.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would add that I was able to get a replacement bin clip on eBay from www.binclips.com.

My bin is at least 12 years old, probably closer to 15, so I didn't think to contact Brabantia.

Very loosely connected, but I was contemplating getting one of their bins, but Simple Human replaced my dishwashing rack when it started to go rusty (just had to send in some photos).
