Honey I shrunk my jumper

I absent-mindedly threw my lovely new jumper into the wash at 40 degrees. It’s made of 48% merino, 30% viscose, 15% nylon and 7% cashmere. It was a loose-fitting flowing style to begin with, but now while I can technically still get it on, it’s too tight and short.

As soon as it came out of the washing machine and I realized my mistake I stretched it as much as I could while it was still wet.

Is there any thing I can do to get my beautiful jumper back??

No

sorry and all that but it's likely that the merino was not superwash. Felting (technically fulling in this case) is not reversible. The only thing you can do is what you did do and try to block it back into shape while wet.

Agree with PP - from my knitting memory, felting is pretty much irreversible I'm afraid.

I have felted many hand knitted socks!

Nope. Save up for a replacement.
