The Saturday clean up.

It's Saturday, it's been a long week in work and I've done very little in the way of housework. Next weekend my parents arrive to say, so it needs to be clean. As my mum has OCD if it isn't she will spend the whole time picking at things and being all passive aggressive forgetting she spend all day everyday cleaning as she didn't work and the weekend will be ruined, and I don't want that as it's DS's birthday weekend.
So my question is would anyone like to join me in a good clean up?

I need a good clean up too!

My bedroom is the most in need, there is clothes and make up everywhere and need to find new places for everything ConfusedConfused

I have a sister similar to your mum and would dread her visits because she would just be busy pottering about and I would constantly be telling her to settle down and I'll get that done soon. Now when she comes I'm like ah so glad you're here and you can help me, just let her do what she wants. If she puts the dishes away somewhere different, who cares. she's happier thinking she's a better housewife than me and I'm alright with it. And I don't like cleaning where as she enjoys it so she can knock herself out while she's here, holiday for everyone Grin

I've sorted my bedroom and the kids are sorting theirs. I'm onto the bathroom then hallway stairs and landing, so upstairs will be complete. Unlike your sister my mother can't just do something she has to tell everyone about it and is very negative. I've only come to realise it in the past few years, were very different in personality and thankfully she doesn't come here often as she can't be bothered getting a train
