How do you store it. Mine constantly is in a mess even though I tidy it and stack them together. Give me some inspiration.

Will they nest? I have nesting glass bowls (well, glass bowls that can be stacked) and keep the lids upright against baking trays. I've gradually offloaded plastic stuff to adult children.

creamcheeseandlox · 03/10/2018 18:10

Some of them do nest. But some are odd shapes, round, don't quite fit inside etc.

I have a big cake box sized plastic box they all go in.

Squiz81 · 04/10/2018 16:56

Oh I wish I had the answer to this! I've currently got two piles and have put smaller pots inside bigger pots and then all of the relevant lids standing alongside them.
I have one glass pyrex dish with a lid. I think I want to get more of them for storing leftovers and ditch the plastic boxes.

Squiz81 · 04/10/2018 18:05

And now I've gone and ordered nesting pyrex dishes Blush they are on offer on Groupon. Mumsnet is always costing me money 😂

I have a drawer just like that! All odd shapes and sizes and huge soup mug like yours

Other than starting again or dedicating some shelf space for it all to spread out I'm at a loss!

Watching!

I gave up and bought all identical size and shape boxes so they stack neatly. Life's too short to play the "which lid" shape sorter game when you need a box.

I have a biggish plastic crate on a lower cupboard shelf, easy to just pull out the crate when you need to search for a particular container. In fact I have one for big and a smaller crate for small ones!

creamcheeseandlox · 08/10/2018 11:03

I may have to get a load of new ones and start again. Dh hates this drawer and never goes in there.

Since I offloaded most of mine and got some glass containers, I've found I don't miss the ones I've given away. Maybe you have too many? Do you use them all?

Joseph Joseph do some nice sets (glass and plastic) that nest perfectly (www.josephjoseph.com/en-gb/collections/nest) and I'm sure one of the big supermarkets have a copycat version.

creamcheeseandlox · 09/10/2018 19:28

Littlewing my husband wouldn't entertain that although I love a organiser.

Cynderella I am not even sure if all the kids have matching pots! I shall have a sort out tomorrow I think.

After many, many (about 35!!) years of the 'Tupperware rage' it occurred to me last year to store all boxes with the lids on! Yes it takes up more room, but I had a cull of all that were old and discoloured and have found since you soon find out which ones you use and how many you actually need.

Its been a A definite Result here.. No more ragey mornings searching for the right lid/box..!

( I have had to train DH in 'the method' but he soon got it when I threw away his lunch box for having no lid. Grin)
