Enjoying cleaning

Anyone else really enjoy cleaning their home? It’s a massive stress reliever for me and I love the smells of all the products. Just made the bathroom sparkle ready for a rare relaxing bath later away from the kids and it makes me quite proud after years of neglecting my houseBlush

I have an image of you sat, spraying bathroom cleaner and huffing it like a crazed cleaning addict 😂 I'm sure this is not the case though 😂

Yes, when I don't have a small child getting under my feet, I quite enjoy cleaning. Something very therapeutic, definitely! I like taking pride in our house when I can... 16mo works hard to undo all the work I do eventually get round to. At the moment it's clean for precisely 3 minutes and 45 seconds, then LO goes round defacing it all 😂

Yes I do, I never thought I would have the home that I do and feel very lucky so I like to keep it clean and tidy. I clean for about 2 hours in the day and then maybe an hour in the eve tidying and wiping down. Once a week I do my big clean, I meet with friends 3 times a week and I genuinely really enjoy my life.

I do! Especially if nobody’s in for a whole day and I can get stuck right in.

Sad? Probably. But then I don’t give a shit Grin

😂😂😂

I do, once I get into it. All too often I lack the motivation to start and then feel overwhelmed. TBF though, I clean houses every day for my job so I give myself a break at home.

I go through phases sometimes I love it and spend days tidying, decluttering and cleaning. Other days it's a real chore and ignore the dishes for days and the hoover doesnt come out from under the stairs for a few weeks. I always love doing the laundry though.i love folding and ironing clothes after bringing them in from the washing line.

Pooleschoolschoice · 02/10/2018 22:47

Cleaning 2 hours a day!?

danigrace · 03/10/2018 07:22

I love cleaning the flylady way as everything looks good and it doesn't feel like I'm doing much Grin

Clankboing · 03/10/2018 07:26

Ooh yes mopping everywhere especially with pink dettol floor cleaner.

StealthNinjaMum · 03/10/2018 12:00

I used to enjoy cleaning when I had a flat but now I have a family house I just feel overwhelmed. I really need to start following an organised mum thread.

Enervator · 04/10/2018 21:57

I started a thread here a while ago about things I find satisfying about keeping house and it helped so much. I have been enjoying it lots more. Not every day, not all the time, but in general I feel like I see a result that I'm proud of now, rather than feeling constantly overwhelmed.

A580Hojas · 04/10/2018 22:02

No, I hate cleaning. It is a relentless chore. It is mind numbingly boring. There are literally a million things I would rather do than clean.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 04/10/2018 22:03

3 hours per day Bell plus another once a week big clean? Are you a family of mud wrestlers or something?
