Removal of vomit smell from carpet

It’s been a long time and I’ve forgotten.

DS threw up last night. DH was still awake, so I knew nothing of it. He’s done a great job of cleaning up, but the smell is still there on the carpet. Is it bicarbonate of soda I use?

I gave it a good go with dettol disinfectant spray this morning but it’s still not pleasant in there.

Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda liberally on the patch. Work In with a brush. Leave for a few hours. Hoover up.

cat litter is also meant to do the trick

Diluted biological washing liquid scrubbed into carpet kills the enzymes in the sick apparently. It’s worked for me

Bicarb is meant to be great. The last time this happened I didn't have any, but the Dettol spray (the aerosol) worked well to shift the stink.

I've used bicarb with great success
