This morning, I accidentally knocked over a bottle of olive oil while making porridge, and it broke the glass on my induction hob. It still works, but the glass is cracked, chipped at the edges, and makes me want to cry every time I look at it. I feel like such an idiot. (This after my watch strap broke, and my son head-butted my chin so was yelling. Happy Friday everyone!)
Has anyone gone down the route of replacing a hob top - just the glass bit? It's a stand-alone hob, so replacing it is fairly simple, but there's a company quoting me £90 to come and look at it, and I don't know whether replacing just the glass bit would actually save any money.
If anyone's done this, would you let me know roughly how much it saved?
