Storage - duvets/pillows/clothes

Boring, boring question...
I'm moving and have to put a lot of items into storage. What is the best way to store clothing, duvets and pillows?
It's not going to be longer than 6 months.
Any advice appreciated!

In those vacuum packed bags?

BigbreastsBiggerbeard · 25/09/2018 22:02

Yes, the vacuum bags are good. Keeps them clean really saves space.

I put my duvets and clothes in vaccum bags for the "opposite seasons" Have started to open up the winter clothes and vac down the summer ones (after washing).DH and I have decided it not chilly enough for the winter duvet yet. I stored the DC university duvets and pillows in vaccum bags when they came home in the summer. It works and has the bonus that moths or other creepies don't survive the process

I read somewhere the final wash you do before packing away in vacuum bags should be without fabric conditioner as this can deteriorate the fabric, too

Despite taking great care I often find the vacuum bags somehow 'open up'. They're not over stuffed but I do think the top zip-along seal isn't properly closed. They can be v annoying!
Thanks for the tips, though.
