How to get mould marks off lovely beech cot? Help!

Argh!! I put my lovely beech crib into the cellar of my new house as obviously it was too small for DS. But now I have another one on the way, so I pulled it out last night to find it all COVERED with grey and orange mould. Obviously the cellar was more humid than I thought, but despite me drenching it in Milton, the mould has gone, but the wood is stained grey in places..
Is there anything I can do? I need it in a few months for my new Bump, and would be so upset if i couldnt get it cleaned properly, my mum bought it for me and it was quite expensive.. I'm gutted.

You might need to sand it off and restain, or varnish.

First of all I would see if the staining gets less once it is dry as I presume you soaked it as you said......

If the colour is still grey - get some very fine sandpaper and sand out the grey and revarnish.

good luck

Sheesh, that sounds like work... was hoping someone would tell me about some miracle product, but if elbow grease is required, then so be it!
