For bad burns I put a dishwasher tablet in water in the pan, bring to the boil and leave for a few hours. Then use a wooden spatula and stainless steel cleaner like bar keepers friend, hob brite, astonish stainless steel cream.

I have lots of experience Blush

Boil washing powder with some water in the pan

Get a dishwasher tab and crumble it up or just let it dissolve with a little water to cover the base of the pot.Let it soak overnight and then scrub with pot scrub.Should come off.

Bio powder will work better than non bio

Boil soda crystals (from the laundry section in supermarkets) and water for a few minutes, leave to soak, scrub and repeat if necessary. Not suitable for aluminium pans though

Astonish oven and cookwear cleaning paste is what I always use for burnt on food and scorch marks
