We have had our Quooker for nearly 5 years, and have loved it up until recently. The tap started to spray boiling water out of a tiny hole in the spout. On contacting Quooker customer support, it turns out that this is normal. The hole is a pressure relief hole and has always been there, and once the Teflon coating inside the spout wears out the water will then spray out of this hole. 😏
I am struggling to be convinced that they would design a product knowing it will wear out in only a few years. Or was this Teflon lining a quick design fix to a problem they found during development.
The kind man at Quooker has offered me a replacement for £90 plus £150 fitting. 😂
Here is a link to the video I took showing the water spraying out of the tiny hole.
