Getting a cleaner help

After struggling for the past year since moving back to full time work dh has finally agreed to trying a cleaner.
One has been recommended but as we are really going to have to budget for this I don’t want to be ripped off. Cleaner has offered 2.5 hours each week for £10 p/hr. I have no idea what she should be expected to do in this time. Any advice or words of wisdom? She is popping round tomorrow morning for a chat. TIA

i would say;

-hoover round the house
-dust round the house
-clean the toilets
-if she has time, clean the rest of the bathroom

We pay our cleaner £30 for about 2.5hrs to clean a 5 bed house. All kitchen surfaces cleaned, top of the oven, sink, utility area, etc. Cleans two bathrooms, ensuite and cloakroom, light dusting throughout, hoovers through, empties bins and mood kitchen and hall. I make sure the house is tidy before she comes, so she literally cleans. I put pots in dishwasher, tidy toys away etc so s surfaces clear.

There are some great lists online you can download / print and then adjust to your house. This is first one I found but there are loads

Mine does 3 hours. She does all kitchen surfaces, 2 bathrooms, surfaces and floor plus basic general tidy of 3 bedrooms and living room. I asked her at the beginning how long she reckons she'll need, she said max 3 hours and she's been within that timeframe ever since and does a great job.

Perfect thank you. She seems to think 2-2.5hrs will be plenty, if she has any time spare she said she will do some ironing. I don’t think she will but will be lovely if she does!

Mine does 4 hours every other week. She changes the beds, hoovers, mops, dusts. Cleans the kitchen and bathroom. What I like is that she uses any spare time to tackle one cupboard or wash the doors or blinds etc. Or I'll open a drawer and find it's all ticketyboo. I tidy first though so that she gets a clear run and I know where everything is.
