Hard plastic toilet seat.. How to clean?

Handbaghag · 17/09/2018 22:29

The instructions on this hard (more robust/expensive) loo seat said no cleaning products. I have used bathroom cleaner but despite that it's stained on the underside and edges. I really want to bleach it but am afraid it will perish. Any tips/experience with similar?

Can you source replacements? If so I'd clean with abandon as I wish and replace when necessary.

Magic sponge

Hot soapy water. Dry, but leave damp. Sprinkle on bicarbonate of soda. Leave an hour and then spray with vinegar. Leave again and then scrub.

I wouldn't use bleach - I don't imagine it'd perish but discolouration might be worse.

Could you use a steam cleaner?

A light scrub with Magic sponge, or Bar Keepers Friend, or a little bit of Cif, should shift that with no damage. Works on our Duravit toilet seats.
