Help identifying this fork!

We are now down to 5 forks but we have plenty of knives. Don't ask me how this happened but I need to buy some more matching forks before we have to use spoons for dinner. The problem is we didn't buy them in the first place and I have no idea how to find matching ones!

Can anyone kindly identify them from the picture I have hopefully attached.

What does the imprint on the back say? There are companies that do cutlery matching - someone I'm looking at you DP managed to lose a knife and a fork from a set and I was able to match them. I did know theaks though, which helped.

What is on the back stamp? Also can you show picture if the front. i think it may be rattail pattern but that was made by many.

wowfudge · 17/09/2018 13:04

The photo is not sharp enough for me to enlarge it and read the imprint btw. What's the other side like? Try photographing it against a plain background.

PickAChew · 17/09/2018 13:04

It's similar to mine, but looking closely, mine are longer and slimmer.

It might be helpful to picture it with the matching cutlery because sometimes the shape of the knives or spoons can be more of a giveaway.

wigglybeezer · 17/09/2018 13:09

I just went with similar but not exactly identical as I am unlikely to ever hold posh dinner parties!

Mrsramsayscat · 17/09/2018 13:10

In shape it's the same as Dunelm ones.

I have hopefully found a way to upload better quality images.

This is mine, btw. They look more similar from the front.

The back says stainless Steel 18/10.

Reluctant2ndtimer · 17/09/2018 14:36

Any chance it could be this alessi set?

Can you get clearer pic of the pattern at base of the handle?

Haberdash · 17/09/2018 16:08

@PickAChew Mine say 18/10 on the back too!

Here is the cutlery set from the front: www.amazon.co.uk/photos/share/HkQIq3Z1lgyXlDqtorbm3AfFepGTsTMEJcpvxe7gtz5?tag=mumsnetforum-21

From the back: www.amazon.co.uk/photos/share/Y5xgsvhXDNYu36vec8lPp27jICOUlZjdGIv7il8jIbI?tag=mumsnetforum-21

The writing is much more legible now.

@haberdash the knife looks the same as the John Lewis outline, too. At least if it's not that exact set, you know where you can get very similar from, now.

I bought mine with vouchers I won on mumsnet, funnily enough!

LIZS · 17/09/2018 16:51

18/10 is the composition of the stainless steel. Is there anything etched on the knife blade? Most of the larger factories would mark the blade.

Haberdash · 17/09/2018 18:47

Replacement ordered from JL. Thank you sleuths!

There was nothing etched on to the knife.
