Tragic but true my iron is broken!

Any recommendations as to a new one?

Thanks Blush

Steam generator if you can afford it and iron enough to warrant it. It's a game changer for those of use who do iron and have cotton sheets, shirts, anything linen ...

If you can stretch to it, get a Tefal or Philips steam generator. It's actually made ironing enjoyable again, I stick on Netflix and get it all done in an evening. I got ours on Amazon for £189, worth shopping around for deals.

We also have a Philips iron that is still going strong after 15 years. The only downside is when it's full of water it's heavy, so it's ok to iron something quickly in the morning but not when you have 15 shirts to plough through for the week ahead (hence buying the fancy steam generator).
