Sat in chewing gum, clothes in freezer.. now what?

Is it a case of picking the worst of it off then putting in the washing machine? Or does the gum peel off once it's frozen?

Never thought I'd have to deal with this disgusting retro problem!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Pick off as much and the frozen gum as you can then spray the rest with Sticky Stuff Remover. Leave to sink in and then hand wash it in as high a temp as you can. I find that you can still smelll the stick stiff remover if you just machine wash it. Brilliant stuff. Gets slime and putty out of things too.

Raw egg white is your friend! - remove as much as possible and then soak the area in egg white and leave for an hour then you should be able to gentle remove the rest of the gum with a blunt object - spoon handle

Some replies! Thank you both, I'm abroad at the moment, so will try the raw egg white method first, failing that I'm back in the UK next week and will have a search for Sticky Stuff Remover. Thank you Smile

Ooh - we've got a bit of dried on slime on a sofa cushion. I might try sticky stuff remover on it. Didn't think of that - thanks snacker
