I think I’m ready to admit that the steam mop is a triumph of marketing over results. Admittedly party due to (in)frequency of use. Sick of storing it and all it’s attachments that I never use. Going to go back to mop and bucket. Anyone have the Leifheit twist and clean flat mop? What’s it like or just tell me about your mop

No one willing to share?

I admit that I had to look.

I can see the benefit of the system, but the mop looks like any other flat mop. And it's a lot of money for a mop!

I have a steam mop and I think it works well. I also have a flat mop that is equally good. I use homemade floor cleaner with the flat mop and just water in the steam cleaner.

Everyone else in the house insists on using commercial products with bleach. That's because they leave the floors until our feet stick to them, and thefloors need a thorough clean rather than just mopping. I prefer low effort and high frequency.

I can't see that the Leifheit would be any better than your steam mop unless you're going to use it regularly.

All you need is a flat mop. Dampen it with warm water, spray your floor and rub it with the damp mop. Take the cloth off and stick it in the wash. Simples.

Home made floor cleaner sounds impressive! Think a good flat mop is what I need the not having to bend appealed as currently have dreadful back pain. So many over the years have snapped or gone rusty wasn’t sure if it was worth spending to get something more robust.

My mum has this mop and she absolutely loves it, she has quite a large ground floor of her house that is all wood flooring, they make using it look easy on the videos, there's a knack to squeezing the water off but once you've got that apparently it's the best thing since sliced bread(!)

I like my Leifheit mop and the spinning bucket that doesn't let the floor get too wet. You wash the entire mophead in the washing machine, but on a cool wash or the two components distort and won't click back together. Astonish floor cleaning stuff is good with it, and smells pleasant but not over-scented.

Thank you think I’m going to invest in one
