Pushchair stains

The footwell of my pushchair, ie where little feet is brown/muddy, I've followed instructions and removed and tried to handwash, pre treated with vanish, tried an extraction cleaner and steam cleaner and I just can't bring it up to looking presentable!

Any ideas? Baby safe/ideally no chemicals

Do you know a carpet cleaning company near you? They can do upholstery and similar fabrics and could help.
