Any tips please? I take charge of the house as i work p/t and my dp f/t. we have two young DS. I feel like I have things under control, house is pretty much always clean and tidy. We have a weekly cleaner which helps loads. But I still feel like I'm doing chores all day. I empty the dishwasher as soon as I wake at 6am and am putting clothes in the wash in the evening, and doing other bits in-between during the day, so it feels like I'm doing chores all day! Anyone know what I mean? Any tips?? It feels never ending! But I'm not sure where to start

I'm much the same when I'm responsible for cleaning, but that's because I'm a timewaster. If I wanted to, I could do everything in the morning and be done by 11am, but I faff about instead - that's why I'm typing this now.

If the young ones can listen get them or teach them to put away their toys and dirty laundry in the right places. Get everyone to pick up after themselves basically.

Another one is to declutter and do a massive clean out and put stuff on eBay or donate anything you haven't used in the past 2 years or so. The less stuff you have, the less you have to clean or put away.

Give your DH one little responsibility even if it's unloading and loading the dishwasher every night before bed and taking the bins out twice a week etc.

Thanks both. I have already decluttered, followed kondo and very pleased with how things are now. I have thought that I could run the dishwasher after breakfast to empty after dinner so dp can help and so I can wake up and not have to do chores right away! I feel like I need a rota so that I stop chores on the weekend, I never used to do any on a weekend until ds2, when somehow the washing doubled overnight!
