Anyone have any fool proof methods for getting quite a substantial amount of biro (I assume) off of a white leather handbag?

I successfully removed biro from a pale jumper using shaving gel.

Go and ask on The Purse Forum. They are amazingly knowledgeable about handbags, care etc.

Are you sure that's biro? Looks like dye transfer from something you were wearing. Jeans perhaps?

It may not work on leather being more delicate but I took a dress with loads of biro to a dry cleaners and they steamed it off in no time.
