Moths? Eek!

Hello
Our garage isn’t particularly airtight (think long gap under the door) I’ve just found what look like moth cases but not on fabric...there is fabric out there but these are stuck in plastic boxes and on a poster etc. Any idea what they could be/how to get rid of them? Thank you!

Yes, that does look like carpet moth cases. There must be something around for them to eat - has something been moved and these have been shaken out? I had a bag of wool pellets that you put in plant pots to deter slugs and those were attacked by moths in my shed. I've also had them in the house and used this which seemed to get rid of them:

www.amazon.co.uk/Rugremedy-UK-Ltd-Carpet-Killer/dp/B005EGVCX4/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=carpet+moths+killer&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1535477031&sr=8-4

As it's not a carpeted room, I'd just have a good clear out and check anything made of fabric, and sweep/hoover out dusty corners. You could spray any suspect areas, but preferably throw away anything that might have been nibbled by moths. If your garage has a door into the house, check the nearest room for any signs of moth cases under furniture, etc.

Thank you so much @purplegreen99 I panicked a bit! I have ordered some stuff and your point about the garage leading onto the house was quite correct! I'm now in the process of moving everything - lots of scurrying spiders too!
Many thanks!

Good luck bionic - hope nothing important has been eaten.
