In a rare domestic moment I have just been putting the washing away, DS2, eight months, has NINE odd socks. How can this be? They are all lined up rather sadly on his chest of drawers, waiting hopefully for a mate. i secretly know they will never be reunited. can anyone beat nine?

Not for any individual, but DH,DD and DS all produce many odd socks.DSs and DDs sit sadly on a chest of drawers. From experience, if I do throw any out, that is the instant that all the other odd socks will turn up.

DHs just all go in his drawer - I have stopped pairing his socks .

I have started sending him to nursery in odd socks - does that make me a terrible mother?
