Stone floor driving me nuts

It's seriously rustic and uneven. I hoover it with my dyson then mop with my shark sonic duo but it never looks or feels really clean. Would love some tips if anyone has any?

Following as I have a stone hallway and I suspect it needs a really good scrub but would rather not!

The thing with stone floors is that they are meant to look rustic! They create a lot of dust as they are walked on. If they have not been sealed, they can easily stain.

I feel your pain! It's such hard work with it being so uneven and raised in places.

Our poor robot hoover is practically redundant downstairs now as it shakes it's brains out!

However, on the plus side, it's a workhorse and takes some hammer; I don't worry about it and am not particularly precious about it!
The grout/cement joints are quite deep so I tend to do a quick hover along those to make it look presentable in a rush

Have you had it cleaned and sealed yet?

ChishandFips33 · 26/08/2018 11:02

Obviously hoovering rather than hovering along the joints is far more effective!!

Well yes the floor has been sealed but just looks a bit grubby. Going to relax about it and put fabulous tiles on walls to distract.

And yes I've been doing more hovering than hoovering so that's maybe part of the problem too!
