I love my brushed cotton stuff and really look forward to winter so I can put it back on the beds! I find it needs tumble drying or it goes a bit crispy but I've had some of mine for years and it's fine :)

I love brushed cotton too 😍

OliviaBenson · 24/08/2018 21:25

To help avoid is bobbling you need to wash it on a very low temperature and use vinegar.

I've never had a problem washing mine on a normal cotton wash!
I have a sheet my mum gave me as she was going to throw it out so it must be yonks old, but it's so soft and much thicker than anything in the shops now!

Love my brushed cotton bedding! In winter I can't wait to get into bed!

I just wash it as normal and tumble dry and it stays lovely and soft.

ChishandFips33 · 26/08/2018 11:04

Is this what I know as 'flannelette'? God I love that bedding from my childhood - only had stripes though!

AnneWiddecombesHandbag · 26/08/2018 11:13

This thread actually made me put my brushed cotton bedding on my bed. Didn't want to get up this morning!

hugoagogo · 26/08/2018 13:11

Yes I called flannelette, but in the shops it always seems to say brushed cotton. I might put mine on tonight.Smile

Using fabric conditioner on flannelette/brushed cotton bedlinen and tumble drying it keeps it wonderfully soft. Chishandfips, my childhood flannelette was stripey too .

House of Fraser have a their own range which is lovely. My youngest DD is counting down the days to colder weather so she can start using the new HoF set I have just bought her. Smile
