Tea stains on mugs

Sorry if this has been asked before but does anyone have an easy way of getting stains off mugs? - the sort that get left when you make a cup of black tea and forget to drink it?
Maybe am lazy and the answer is simply to go for old-fashioned scrubbing!

Steritabs for false teeth should do the trick! They're great, I use them a lot - but not for false teeth...

fill a bowl or your sink with a diluted bleach mixture and puts your mugs in.

Give them a good wash when all stains have vanished.

(I've always intended tobuy a bottle of Milton and see if that will do it too)

there's a thing you can get from Lakeland. www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/solutions/kitchencleanup!9009 Lakeland have something for everything..

purplemonkeydishwasher · 05/06/2007 09:26

salt.
just rub the stains with lots of wet salt.

(and i'm a potter so this is my area of expertise!!)

Biological washing powder

Brilliant, thanks for all the tips. I'll start with the salt as already have that in the kitchen!

Bicarbonate of soda also works - don't dilute, just put the bos on a cloth and rub directly on the tea stains
