Cleaner, how often, how much and how long for?

Hi everyone,
I'm thinking if hiring a cleaner for when we have our baby. We live in a small 2 bed cottage.
How often do people have their cleaners come round and what do they do and how much do they charge?
Many thanks

Every week for 3 hours (4 bed house, but most of the time goes living room, kitchen and bathroom so not necessarily much less for smaller house). She does a thorough kitchen clean including mopping, hoovers, dusts and cleans all bathrooms. £10 an hour but that varies a lot around the country.

Ive just started working as a cleaner again. I cleaned a 3 bed house today, 2 hours. Most clients have us come weekly but some fortnightly.

Price will vary on the area you live in and if you use a company to arrange the cleaner. I work for 2, one charges £13.50, i get £8.50 the other charges £12, I get 9.
A relative of mine does it without agency and charges £10-11.

When we had a 2 bed, 2 bath flat (so no stairs, which may be the only difference between our flat and your house), we had a cleaner for 3 hours a week. She did a small amount of ironing when she was there in that time too - 5 work shirts of DH's. She came every week. I would imagine that if she had come less frequently and the flat wasn't thoroughly cleaned in between her visits, she would have needed more than 3 hours each time.

We still have a cleaner who also irons, and now use an agency. Agency fee is £2.75 per hour and we pay the cleaner £10 per hour (agency say that you only need to pay £8.50 but I prefer to pay more than that as our cleaner is excellent).

I have a cleaner for 3 hours every week. She cleans, dusts and hoovers does the bathroom and kitchen. It's a 4 bed house and I have physical limitations.
Every 8 weeks or so she does a whole day deep clean.
I pay her £12 a hour, I love her she's amazing.
Does a great job and is always on time.
She's been helping me so long she's a friend now.
