Can anyone recommend one please?

It has to be two foot from where we eat so needs to be a good one

Oh I'd be interested in this too! It's so hard to find a good one. I bought a plastic one with a closable lid and I found that the smell was quite bad with it and it would become discoloured if something spilled (like pasta sauce). I bought a metal one that was quite expensive and it held the smells better, was easier to clean and didn't stain. However, somehow it ended up rusting within a year, even though liquids never touched it. Also, I would recommend finding one that easily accommodates the bin bags. One I bought was a brilliant triangular shape which fit perfectly in a corner, but getting the bin bags in and out was always a nightmare. I'll be eagerly watching to see if anyone can recommend a good one! Smile

We've honestly tried around 30 in the past 5 years, cleaned with zoflora and hot water after each empty, double bagged Grin Little zoflora on a cotton ball under the bag, in the bag, I've tried it all. So now I have a little bathroom bin with soft close lid that lives under the sink that is emptied each evening and it's been fine.

It's the future!

That sounds a good idea themadhatterswench! I think I might try a small bin under the sink.
