Plug in spider deterrent

Hi, it's spider season again! Last year we had a massive one in our bedroom every day for about 2 weeks. I've got a couple of cellar spiders hanging around hoping they'll keep the population down but I've just had to evict a small one. I've also got a conker in my bedroom and a cat but she just plays with them. DP is going away with work for two weeks in September and I'm dreading it. Has anyone used and can recommend a plug in spider deterrent? Thanks.

I've got one...well 2 actually. Don't know if they work but I still get about 4 of those huge wolf spiders/ house spiders every year. Might get more if I didn't have them plugged in I suppose.

Thanks lexer. Which one do you use?

Good old Amazon found my purchase from 2014. Here it is

Thank you. There seems to be quite varied reviews on this one.

Yes, there are. It's a difficult thing to prove though isn't it. I just thought something was better than nothing.

If you find anything better, please let me know. (I'll try anything!)

I mix peppermint and lemon essential oils (bought off Amazon cheap) and some water in a spray bottle, and spray liberally around windows, doors and anywhere else the buggars can get in. Spiders hate both, and it's much cheaper than a plug in.
