Any ideas on how to get blood out of a brand new neutral carpet (80% wool).

So far all that has been done is dabbed with cold water.

TIA

in Belgium we use something called oxygen water - maybe you can ask as pharmacist what this is in english?

It really works, it's used in hospitals when patients get blood on their clothes.

i discovered this weekend that the following recipe works a treat for a multitude of stains:

Morrisons Bettabuy biological washing powder (i assume any could be used, however the cheaper the better!)
mixed with white vinegar into a paste, smear it over the stain and leave for half and hour, rinse with sparking water then flood the area with washing powder dissolved in COLD water and blot with a WHITE cloth (i used terry squares and microfibre cloths!)

This method removed food colouring from a cream carpet!
