Morning all - it feels horribly early this morning and we're all having trouble getting out of bed and ready for school/work/toddler group!
simply congrats on your tip of the day this morning It's a good one that I'll try to keep in mind for when my two are older...

I'm, as ususal, out for most of the day today but will be home for a couple of hours after lunch so need to get some washing and general tidying done then.
Better go and get everyone dressed - see you later x

Housework? Before 7.30am? On a Monday morning?

Hangs head in shame (and hits chin on pile of dirty washing).

shouldbe · 04/06/2007 07:36

I've haven't done any housework yet!! And hopefully won't be going anywhere near a laundry pile, dishwasher or hoover till at least 1pm, if at all today

Hello EVERTBODY

Been awake since 4 this morning but really as BBC 4 are re-running The State Within

I've been busy the past few days and not had much PC time. I'm really glad the 1/2 term is over. DS was really good but I need the structure to my existance tbh. I'm going to have to revisit babysteps as I need to get on top of the housework, I really do

DS was lovely this week. A friend brought her 3DCS round. Her DS2 is 6 mths and my DS brought him his teddy and blanket 'to make him happy' and they were snuggled under blankey on the sofa {{{bless}}}

So Done today

Up, washed and dressed
Down with laundry
Load WM
Empty DW
Put away
Make DH's lunch box
Rouse DS
Make DS's bed and draw curtains
Wash DS
Make breakfast
Tidy away
Dress DS
Take him to school
Pop to town

To do

Vac downstairs
Mop bathroom floor
Contact council officer for grant aid form for group.
Collect DS
Make lunch
Entertain DS
Water plants
Check on the snail house

Might see you later

Aufish · 04/06/2007 10:59

Good morning everybody, am back and my head is back in the right place. Have only just got up, but did get up at 6.45 to get the eldest child off to school, the other three have another week to go, so I went back to bed!

My to do list today:

Wash up and dry up
hang the washing that I put on at 6.45 this morning
hoover and sweep floors
clean the kitchen fully, its a bit of a mess
clean the bathrooms
need to get shopping at some point today
get dressed, kids are all dressed.

So I had better get a shifty on and do at least half of this by 1pm. I will be back then to update what I've managed to do. Xx

Hello to one and all esp any new FLYers. Please excuse my posts today as panic is starting to set in as I need to pack for going away tomorrow.

shouldbe I'll send you a quick e-mail today and if you reply, I'll reply properly when I'm back on the w/e. Thanks for letting me know the tip was on the home page. It's funny, dh and I always take a packed lunch to work and ds is pretty good about doing it fairly often but dd far prefers to take £2 each day and it mounts up. There was no choice but to take packed lunches when I went to school.

Done:-
~ take ds to doctors appt and to school afterwards
~ water neglected houseplants
To do:-
~ take dd to optician appt
~ work my way through washing basket 'til empty one load done
~ finish unpacking and put stuff away
~ post back the towel I accidentally brought back from the cottage
~ hoover downstairs and maybe upstairs
~ e-mail some friends.
~ pack everything I need to go away tomorrow morning
~ e-mail Scouts Skip
~ post birthday card
~ leave cash for school lunches and stuff ready for the kids whilst I'm away

Right. I'm going to crack on and come back at 1pm. See you all later!

shouldbe · 04/06/2007 12:17

Hello all
I'm back from toddler group and have walked into the house to find it's a disgrace Hadn't really noticed it all mounting up over the half-term break but by golly it has! I'm going to do a quick 45min tidy up and will be back at 1... Have to go out again at 2ish and then am out till 7ish so need to just get on top of all the heaps of toys/dressing-up clothes/shoes etc which seem to be everywhere I look!
See you soon x

Hi

Unexpected busy day today! Leader of the nursery was looking very ill when we turned up today....so I volunteered to stay and help the other leader while she went to the doctors...so I have been out all morning.

Off again in a bit....quick tidy round first.

DD1 has gardening club after school so I'll be back just in time to walk up and get her.

Hope you are all ok

Hey, EHM, are you okay? Do you have CAT set up? If so and you want to e-mail me, please do if I can help in any way.

shouldbe · 04/06/2007 14:03

Grrr I've spent most of the past hour or so washing up - the dishwasher seems to have died It's been taking almost 5hrs to run for the past month and now almost the whole load is still dirty at the end anyway so I think we're going to call it a day and will have to order a new one....more expence
The rest of the house is still looking awful too so I'll have an extra long list in the morning.
BFN x

Hey, EHM hope all is OK?
simply I'm off to check my emails [excited emotion]

OP posts:
Madwelshwoman · 04/06/2007 14:08

Right back from work, was only supposed to be there until 10!!! shouldbe sorry to hear about the dishwasher waves to everyone else.

Right off to clean like a loony before picking up kids and dh who is inconsiderately finishing work early today!!

shouldbe · 04/06/2007 14:12

Oooohhhhh I had 2 emails Thanks EHM and simply Ds is been a pain and wants to use the computer - he's got a nerve!
I'll be back later no doubt

OP posts:
EHM · 04/06/2007 14:21

shouldbe & simplyS Thanks for you concern. I am fine really...just feeling a wee bit low, period misery I need to get a grip & stop feeling sorry for myself
shouldbe nightmare about dw & thanks for the hugs via email.

Right must get off the computer & make the most of the nap time. Off to empty the wm & dw.

grouchyoscar · 04/06/2007 14:45

Hi EHM to you. I know how you feel, I've just finished the period from hell myself so many sympathies.

I've done my to do list and I mopped downstairs too. I could seek out additional FLY missions but...I've been awake for 10 hrs and I think I should just take it easy

Mollusc update.....DS now has escargot number 3 who he has called Spot. Patch has taken to hiding in the bark chips and compost at the bottom of their home. DS was very troubled that he was unable to locate him/her. DS also has a pack of imaginary dogs who like to go to town with us. He's a strange one that child (but entertaining)

Right, sit down, try to stay off ebay...byeeeeee

shouldbe · 04/06/2007 14:49

Grouchy my ds has an imaginary friend dog and cat and two other sisters who are often with us to play
EHM glad you're OK, but know how you feel - it's rotten isn't it? (((hugs)))
We're off to collect dd now. Have done a bit more tidying but it's only really scraping the surface ....
