Bathroom cupboard crisis

Boring i know but theres stuff everywhere....i cant find anything I need....there are 3 big deep shelves....one for me one for man/ boy stuff...one for towels....its all a bloody tip. .I tried to organise it by putting baskets in for all the bottles/crap etc but it's still a tip and is doing my head in....

I have not got a clue how to tackle it...or do I leave it as a constant source of irritation...

I'm hiding from a House full of boys btw...ds2 has had a sleep over....seemed like a good idea to sort it out now but I'm regretting it already....

Right. Made a start...gone through the towels and getting shut of the old ones...folding the ones we are keeping...

Separate boxes trays for different things? Shampoo and hair stuff in one, shower gel razors face wash another, body lotion moisturiser etc another?

You're about as dangerous and exciting as me, lol. It's the last day of my holiday and look how I'm spending it!
I cleaned out my bathroom cupboards recently. To be honest the biggest change was that I got rid of 80% of the stuff. Makeup that I was like 'I'll wear one day...' NO. I binned it all and I don't regret it. Ditto all those shampoo bottles that I'd nicked from hotels and was hoarding...
Then I put the larger items in big clear tubs, and separated my makeup and brushes into large jars - one jar for eyes, one for lips, one for face etc.
not sure about your husband, but mine uses shampoo for both his hair and his body, so he doesn't need a whole drawer - he literally only uses one bottle!

I'm no Kondo expert but I Kondo'd the bathroom cabinets years ago and it's stuck! We have boxes for medicines by ailment, I binned all the hotel shampoo freebies etc and all the random pots of stuff I never use.

The clear tubs that nectarines/plums/strawberries come in are perfect for medicines.
