Dyson cordless?

I'm very tempted by a Dyson cordless for our new house which is a townhouse with no less than 5 small staircases Confused

Given that we are shelling out for a lovely new carpet, I would like to keep it clean, and the thought of lugging my Henry up and down the stairs is filling me with dread.

Any thoughts on cordless vacs, Dyson in particular? I don't want to spend a fortune and amazon have the V7 on offer.....

@imesconequeen where, where? God I'm getting sadly excited at the thought of a 50% off Dyson sale Confused

I believe it is 2 Black Fridays a year. I bought mine in the first one of the year and it said there's another one in Nov!

Had a v6 which died recently... was always a mild pain in the arse to be honest. Bought a V10 absolute (wanted the hard floor head that comes with it, plus there's a dinky stair carpet one) and it's like the dogs bollocks of hoovers.

I love mine

cherrytree63 · 22/08/2018 15:43

I really rate mine, my original Dyson lasted me nearly 20 years which is why I stuck with the brand.
I'm not a regular "vacuumer" with 3 dogs and a lot of debris that I trample into the house after doing my horses, and I can still do the whole house on one charge.
Three downsides, I get static shocks from the charging socket (apparently a common problem) so need to wear a rubber glove, I find it heavy when doing the stairs, unlike the corded hoover where the cylinder takes up most of the weight and how often the canister needs emptying.

Life changing my floors have never been so clean

CharlieBoo · 23/08/2018 22:29

I have the normal v7

Good to hear charlieboo - I've gone for the regular v7, v good price in John Lewis and on amazon. Still in its box (we move in two weeks and I'm saving it 🤣), can't wait to get it out!

I had the V7. I can honestly say it was the worst hoover I owned.

Sar51 · 24/08/2018 00:04

Oh no. Just saw your last post OP. I expect mine was just a faulty model.

OldSpeclkledHen · 24/08/2018 07:58

Sorry not read whole thread replies BUT I LOVE my Dyson cordless.

I had a Henry before. Hated the little fucker. He fell over when I even dared look at him.

Truckingonandon · 24/08/2018 08:03

I'm not a lover of dyson usually but the cordless is AMAZING. Makes hoovering far, far less of a chore.

Oliveisme · 24/08/2018 22:58

We've just bought the v7 animal today from John Lewis. It's brilliant! Clean house in 30 minutes! What an absolute joy to use. Bye bye Henry
