Best way to clean windows

I cleaned my windows earlier today - now all I can see is smears - I just never get them sparkling- tried windolene vinegar newspapers micro cloths - just never seem to look any better - In most cases they look worse. What are your tips - to be fair my husband always did them - a lot taller than me - but since he died - they have definitely lost their sparkle..as I have😀

Water and the microfibre cloths specially for windows from Lakeland. No chemicals, and always sparkly clean afterwards.

I agree - water and an e cloth or an old fashioned linen scrim works equally well. For the windows in our kitchen I use Stardrops with ammonia as it cuts through grease, but same principle: wash then dry off to streak-free finish.

Soapy water on a cloth, window cleaner’s blade (think Lakeland or Kleeneze?). Gave up on sprays ages ago!

I really ought to wash my windows! Looking for inspiration here!
